LOCATION
Out of the dozens of places we explored, we ultimately fell in love with Káloz. It was here that we first felt this was not just a new venue but our new home. A chance to truly do what we had only dreamed of until now. The site is twice the size of our previous location yet still easy to navigate and full of breathing space, where the landscape reveals a new face around every corner: a castle, a small lake, a grove of ancient plane trees, numerous buildings, farmland, and forest. Finally, on our own land, we can explore new ways of festival life and organization. What we dream up and build on this site can stay with us, allowing us to grow and evolve year after year. The Káloz site is being shaped in the spirit of regeneration, extending beyond the festival programs: we are bringing life back to a dried-up lake system, creating a permaculture model farm, and filling the old buildings and the Zichy Castle with magic.
GETTING THERE
The Káloz festival site is located in Fejér County, just over an hour from Budapest and 30 minutes from Székesfehérvár. We offer shuttle buses from both Budapest and Székesfehérvár, scheduled to match festivalgoers’ needs. You can also drive, as there is parking available on the festival grounds. There will be bike storage and a taxi stand, and we are also working on allowing you to complete your carsharing rental directly on site.
